6 years ago the unthinkable happened. My hard drive died and took 2 years of my family photos with it. 2 years of my son growing up. Gone. That's when I started backing up my family pictures just like I do my clients'. I also started printing them out religiously, no longer relying just on digital media. After spending lots of time hunting down a perfect album I stumbled into photo books.

By the way, my story does have a happy ending. After my grandparents passed away I inherited their photo albums. Among precious pictures of my grandma in her wedding dress and my dad in military uniform there were all the pictures of my family that I sent them over the years. Thanks to my meticulously organized grandma I got my memories back. I guess pictures do live forever...
